One of latches not working, there is no key to the case. The bell is 4.75" across and the bell opening is 1.75" across.
The cornet is 17.5" long(with mouthpiece in place. Nice emblazoning of the name and maker on the outside of the bell, although lightly impressed. Certainly some finish loss to the gold colored lacquer, but no pitting or corrosion to the material the trumpet is made of. The bore size of each slide is.5" The valves are all operating smoothly and I have oiled the valve assemblies and cylinders to keep them from getting any corrosion. A minor ding along one side The cornet has some finish loss and scratching. The trumpet does come with a mouthpiece that is also a Holton Collegiate. The trumpet body and valves appears to be in good condition. The trumpet has a serial number of 314446 on it which makes from around 1958. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself!
